Developers behind Squamish's newest neighbourhood are extending an invitation to the community to take in the views and luxury homes that make up University Heights.

Developers behind Squamish's newest neighbourhood are extending an invitation to the community to take in the views and luxury homes that make up University Heights.

The first phase of The Peaks development is being launched this weekend with a celebration on Sunday (July 29).

Residents are invited to come to the site in the Garibaldi Highlands from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy a brunch and get a tour.

There will also be on-site entertainment, free food and drink and an opportunity to win Lions and Canucks tickets.

"This particular development is right up there in terms of sophistication. It's a very high end development," said media liaison Sandy Yates.

Ten of the 50 lots are now sold at a cost starting at $350,000. A 3,000 sq. ft. duplex with three or four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms carries a starting price of $750,000.

Those seeking a complete custom-built 3,000 to 4,300 sq. ft. home would see a minimum price tag of $899,900.
