A carbon-free energy condo as your canvas

Situated within Finch Drive, The Levette is built sustainably, inspired by nature and powered by carbon-free energy to create an environmentally committed planned community. Situated next to a public park, it interconnects seamlessly with forests and trails.

According to Jenna Bowerman, sales and marketing manager at Diamond Head Development, the reason behind the call for artists is two-fold.

"These homes at Finch Drive are special and ahead of their time," she describes. "We believe the way we're building sustainably is unique and sets a standard within Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵand the Sea to Sky, and spreading the word is really important to us."

Bowerman also highlights the community aspect as a desire to collaborate with local artists.

"Having multiple local artists within the Sea to Sky submit their design proposals is a way to bring the community together," she says.

The chosen artwork will be positioned on The Levette's west-facing sun-dappled exterior, giving visitors something to admire with the goal being to leave a long-term impression about the developer's green community vision.

Artistic direction & submission details

In addition to leaving a lasting impression, Bowerman and her team also want the exclusive artwork to spark conversation about sustainability, with the selected artist’s vision and interpretation of this concept being the driving force.

Whether literal or symbolic, the work should also represent Diamond Head Development’s excellence in eco-friendly building and construction. "Since the art piece will be displayed on metal, it will be unique to any other exterior artwork seen in or around town," reveals Bowerman.

The submission process itself is easy. Simply send your design proposal concept via email to, along with your name, contact information, the inspiration behind your design, portfolio of past work and your artist fee.

Reputation for sustainable building

"We have a reputation for specializing in sustainable building solutions, modern features and advanced technology,” says Bowerman. “We built the first Net Zero, zero emissions home in Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵat Sky Ridge, named SkyFall.”

Achieving green building operations, with state-of-the-art building methods and materials, sustainability has become a big differentiator for Diamond Head Development.

Finch Drive duplexes and townhomes exceed current energy-based building standards and are built to Step Code 5, Net Zero ready, use geothermal energy and are fully Net Zero when solar panels are added. The five-story Levette condo, with one-, two- and three-bedroom options, includes an efficient heat pump upgrade and a unique solar panel upgrade package for the penthouses.

"Diamond Head Development’s main vision and everything that we strive to do is at the forefront of sustainability, and we ensure that we're the most environmentally friendly as we can be," Bowerman explains.

"Purchasers who have bought our duplexes, townhomes and condos so far have been really impressed with our vision and, of course, they're beautiful homes, too. As a proponent of the BC Energy Step Code, Finch Drive will serve as an example of leadership, sustainability and green building practice."

The Levette's estimated completion date is late 2026.

"The chance to be part of what we're doing at Finch Drive is an exciting opportunity for a local artist," says Bowerman.

"We hope to see some interesting and refreshing designs based around the Sea to Sky, nature and sustainability."
