MONTREAL — A Quebec research institute says some of Canada's biggest companies have transferred billions of dollars in profits to Luxembourg to avoid paying domestic taxes.

MONTREAL — Saputo Inc. says it is closing its facility in Lancaster, Wis., and plans to move production to another location in the state. The Montreal-based company says about 100 employees will be affected by the decision.

MONTREAL — Lightspeed Commerce Inc. reported a smaller loss in its second quarter compared with a year ago as its revenue rose 25 per cent. The company, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, says it lost US$42.
