The Province of British Columbia has proclaimed March 4 as "TB Vets Day" for the second year in a row. This official proclamation is in honour of our extensive charitable contributions to communities throughout B.C. over the past six decades. It is also in recognition of our well-known and well-used keytag service, the first keytag program in the province. In fact, over the past 63 years, we have helped to return nearly 200,000 sets of lost keys to their rightful owners.Last year, through fundraising activities like our keytag campaign and our gala event, TB Vets provided over $350,000 to organizations and hospitals in B.C. to help fight debilitating respiratory illnesses. We do not receive government assistance, which makes fundraising our top priority. We want to acknowledge that there would be no TB Vets Day or the contributions that we provide to communities throughout the province without the support of caring British Columbians, such as you. Your support enables us to continue to donate vital respiratory equipment to B.C. hospitals, fund tuberculosis research, award bursaries for B.C. respiratory therapy students, and provide meaningful employment for people with disabilities.
