Team Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵmines gold, silver and bronze in recent races

The biking season is just under way, and already Greg Gardner GM's Team Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵis making its presence felt in races in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

"We're out there showing B.C. what Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵriders are made of," said Elite Team member Neal Kindree.

Kindree, along with his Team Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵcolleagues, have brought home 10 medals in three races including three golds for Meghan Kindree in women's pro-elite.

"Meghan's been unbeatable so far," Kindree said, "but all the riders are doing well. We've been showing up to these races with a small group, but we're hauling a lot of hardware."

Other results include Neal Kindree, gold and silver pro-elite men; Ryan Edwards, gold and bronze pro elite men; Gavin Arnott, gold U 17 men; Jaclyn McClements, silver junior expert women; and Kyla Valleau, silver (time trials).

The team's success was also evident at the first high school event of the year where Team Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵracers took nine of a possible 18 podium places in the first race last Wednesday (April 13).

"We did awesome," said grade 10 Team Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵrider, Michel Demers.

Results include: Grade 9 boys: Phil Cairns, 2nd; Chris Bandy, 3rd. Grade 9 girls: Molly Patterson 3rd; Miranda Miller, 4th. Grade 10 boys: Gavin Arnott, 1st; Gordon Booth, 2nd; Dan MacKellar 3rd; Michel Demers, 4th. Grade 10 girls: Jaclyn McClements, 1st; Aislinn Merkel, 2nd; Danielle Dornik, 4th, Kyla Valleau, 5th; Lauren Hughes, 6th. Senior boys: Neal Kindree, 1st.
