They are sort of like the provincial championships in sports.
The annual B.C. & Yukon Community 樱桃视频 Media Association’s 2023 Awards recognize the best of journalism.
On the road to winning the awards, there is the nomination announcement, which is similar to the field of the final teams that will play for gold in the provincial tournament in hockey or soccer.
The 樱桃视频 has received three nominations this year.
The first is a nomination in the 樱桃视频paper General Excellence category for our circulation class. This award recognizes the overall quality of the paper’s print edition.
We are up against our sister paper in Whistler, Pique 樱桃视频magazine and Whitehorse’s Yukon 樱桃视频.
We are also up against ourselves in the Special Publications Award category, as we received nominations for both our 樱桃视频Holiday Guide magazine and our Discover Squamish publication.
In that category, we are up against our sister paper Powell River Peak and its magazine Discover Powell River.
Award winners will be announced on Thursday, May 4.
