Still going strong

How sad to have heard of the death of Ray Peters. He will be missed by his family and friends, but also the community of Squamish.

How sad to have heard of the death of Ray Peters. He will be missed by his family and friends, but also the community of Squamish. Ten years ago he anonymously retired to Squamish; today is there anyone in our town who hasn't heard his name and the community-oriented works that go along with it? Retired firefighter, marathoner, Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵtrails builder and promoter, municipal councillor, talented photographer, cancer survivor and finally, death by the return of the cancer he had so valiantly fought since 2003. Few who come to a community in their retirement/senior years leave behind such a lasting legacy as time will prove was done by Ray.
