OCP open house Wednesday

The District of Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵis hosting an information open house to offer details of the Official Community Plan update that has been ongoing since 2003.

Resident feedback will be sought at the meeting.

The information open house is being held at the Sea to Sky Hotel starting at 7 p.m. and running until 9:30 p.m.

Highway closures back

Construction closures on Hwy. 99 begin Sept. 26. The closures are slated to last as long as six hours in the overnight hours.Crews will shut the highway down from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. between Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵand Whistler.

Drivers should expect delays of up to five minutes at any time in the work zones between Whistler and Horseshoe Bay.

Overnight work continues between Horseshoe Bay and Lions Bay with delays of up to half an hour between 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday night to Thursday morning.

Between Lions Bay and Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵexpect delays of up to 15 minutes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting on Monday. The crews finish at noon on Fridays.

Expect delays of up to 15 minutes north of Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵweekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. with quitting time moved to noon on Friday.
