Communities and environmental organizations around the world will celebrate Earth Day on Friday April 22 to increase awareness and care for the planet and its people.
In Squamish, Edith Tobe is helping to organize Earth Day efforts with a clean up of Little Stawamus Creek. "Any number of people would be great," said Tobe. "But we're hoping for a dozen."
Cleaners will meet in the park behind the Westway Apartment complex at 11 a.m. Bags and gloves will be made available.
