From June 17 to 24 expect 15-minute delays at Porteau Cove from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. At Lions Bay, 30-minute delays will occur on Monday from 3 to 6 a.m., 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight. Tuesday to Thursday expect 30-minute delays at Lions Bay from midnight to 6 a.m., 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight and on Friday 30-minute delays will occur from midnight to 6 a.m.

Road alerts can now be accessed by cell phone. When unscheduled, sustained highway closures happen due to natural events, serious accidents, or any unexpected occurrences information is now available by text messaging. DOS hires HR manager

As of July 18, Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵwill have a manager of human resources.

Jennifer Geddes, a seven-year Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵresident, will step into the newly created position to offer human resources services to the more than 190 people working for the District of Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ(DOS).

She has more than 12 years experience in human resources.
