The District of Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵis asking business and community members to provide feedback on the patio program through an online survey.

The began at the onset of the pandemic and was designed to support foodservice businesses by adding outdoor patios. The is asking for feedback from customers and businesses who use patios, customers and businesses who are near to patios, and businesses that would like to create a patio. The survey will be available until March 9.

“We look forward to hearing from businesses and residents about how we can build on this program to ensure equity across the process, accessibility of patios and the surrounding area, as well as achieve a harmonious balance for all,” said Mayor Karen Elliott in a news release.

The District said that about 20 businesses in Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵhave used the program to expand or create new patio space. The program allowed an expedited process for these business owners to expand onto District-owned or privately-owned land.

The District said the current program is set to expire on June 1, 2022. District staff will present feedback from the surveys to council in the spring and use the information to update the patio program.
Those interested in providing feedback can do so at . New users will have to register to access the survey.
