A front and back lawn full of dandeli...no not dandelions! I mean daffodils! Our good neighbour Judy cut our lawn when we were stuck. She deserves a lawn full of sunshiny flowers and I don't mean dandelions! Thank you Judy for being so thoughtful. Great neighbours are one in a million!

Daffodils to the children, parents and many volunteers who came to the 2005 Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵYouth Triathlon on Sunday May 15. You know who you are! Thank you.

Daffodils to Helle Wilburn and Richard MacKellar from the organizers of the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵYouth Triathlon. Your invaluable experience, and assistant at all times was greatly appreciated.

A dozen daffodil thank-yous to Coun. Dave Fenn and the Howe Sound Inn and Brewing Company from the residents and recreational users of the Smoke Bluffs.

A Howe Sound full of daffodils to our friends and the community of Britannia Beach for supporting us in our fundraising efforts for the third year in a row for "Balding for Dollars" and "Canuck Place Children's Hospice" in memory of our daughter Courtenay Doornbos. Special thanks go to the many people who donated things for our auction, door prizes and gave of their time to help organize this special event. Thanks to Rob and Jerry of MacDonald Development for picking up the tab for the band. Everyone's efforts helped us to raise $4451 to split between these two wonderful organizations. It's wonderful to know that there are still loving and kindhearted people who truly care. Thank you.

A bear den full of daffodils from the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵBear Network to Howe Sound Inn for hosting our second fundraiser and all those who came for the event. Also, thanks to Steven Hainsworth from Mountain FM for MC'ing, Paul Hudson for spinning the beats, Bear Researcher, Michael Allen for his slide presentation and all the merchants who helped promote our event.

An arena full of daffodils to all the SVEA members who came out for the work party and BBQ. It was a real success and we appreciate the effort.

The kids at Skyline Drive Family Daycare would like to thank Roman Heisler for donating wood for our new fence and Aggiat Spectrum Landscapes for donating sand for our sandbox.

A car full of daffodils to the EHS crew, hospital staff and kind people who assisted a young man on Monday afternoon, after he lost consciousness at the wheel of his car by the Canadian Tire intersection. Thank goodness no one was seriously injured. Darts to the woman who began shouting at him, bystanders and police that he was drunk or doing drugs. There are a lot of amazing young people in our community, including this one. Calmly responding, without prejudice, until you know the facts, would have been much more appreciated. Open your mind and your heart before you open your mouth.

A community full of daffodils to Save-On and Tim Hortons for coming to our need in such short notice. These tragedies can never be timed, but your timely response to help us in helping others truly makes this community a place in which you are proud to live. Thanks again from all the volunteers with RCMP Victims Services. (PS: Thanks for the teddies Wes).
