Aquaman star and man-of-the-moment Jason Momoa posted several pictures and a short video on Instagram on Monday afternoon, showing him enjoying some well-earned time off with friends on a ski hill — somewhere.

But a close look at the backdrop of one photo — alongside a bearded friend — shows the iconic Black Tusk peak in the distance.

Another giveaway is a short video that shows what appears to be Momoa’s snowboard (with a beautiful B.C. First Nations art image on the base) in the rack of a gondola, followed by a pan to Momoa inside, a very genuine sounding “Yeah” and then a quick glimpse of another gondola passing by with the Whistler Blackcomb logo.

Momoa’s Instragram account name is prideofgypsies and he has 8.4 million followers.

In September 2018, Momoa was photographed sitting in Cioppino’s Mediterranean Grill in Yaletown with MMA fighter Mada Abdelhamid and pro-surfer Mainei Kinimaka.

Momoa, 39, is married to Lisa Bonet and they have two children. Aquaman was released on Dec. 21, 2018 and is on track to gross $1 billion by the end of January, 2019.

American comic Chelsea Handler was also in Whistler, just last week, and posted this photo — with a placeline. Handler has 3.4 million followers.
