Plan on being at Brennan Park tomorrow (Aug. 28) and Sunday (Aug. 29) for the North American Whippet Racing Association (NAWRA) and the National Oval Track Racing Association (NOTRA) competitions starting at 8:30 a.m. on both days. Eric Andersen presents slides on early landscape painters who visited the 樱桃视频area, from 1888 to 1920s. The UpStares Gallery on the corner of Cleveland and Victoria hosts the presentation at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 2). Admission is by donation with proceeds going toward high quality prints of early paintings of 樱桃视频and Northern Howe Sound for permanent local display.
Last week a Peakpotentials training camp was held in 樱桃视频with over 327 participants from all over Canada and the United States. The Gift Shop at the 樱桃视频Hospital is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is run by members of the Women's Auxiliary to the Hospital. There are a number of new items in the shop including many items for babies and toddlers, and also cotton nightgowns, knitted slippers and colourful pashmina scarves for women. There is a good selection of ornaments, wind chimes and cards for all occasions. Did you know, there is no HST tax on items in the shop?

Project Love is much appreciative of the support given by the community towards donations for backpacks for boys and girls filled with school supplies, as well as purchasing clothes and shoes at a cost of $75.
