An invitation is extended to attend the Diamond Head Chalet: A Family Journey as presented by the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵHistorical Society at the Brackendale Art Gallery tonight (April 17) at 8 p.m. Admission is by donation.

The Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵPublic Library presents: The Top 20 Cancer Fighting Foods with author Sally Errey. She has just returned from seven years in North America specializing in cancer prevention and management. Errey will share from her Canadian National Best Selling book "Staying Alive! Cookbook for Cancer Free Living" on Thursday (April 23) at 7 p.m.

St. John's Anglican Church's Youth Group is sponsoring the popular movie Mamma Mia! As a fundraiser for the Relay for Life Team, Vox Ephebus ad it a Ladies Only Mamma Mia! It will be held at the church at 1930 Diamond Road, Garibaldi Estates tomorrow evening (April 18) at 7 p.m. The price of admission ($15 adults and $10 children 12 years and under) includes the movie, snacks and much more.

Looking to buy some great books at a great price? Plan on attending the Friends of the Library Book Sale at the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵLibrary tomorrow (April 18) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday (April 19) fro 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The next outing for the Over the Hill Hikers on Tuesday (April 21) at 10 a.m. is asking members to meet half a kilometre up the Mac-Blo Road for a Birds of Prey Slhanay (formerly the Squaw) loop. If interested in more information, please call Heather at 604-892-9003.

The Healthy Brain Program will continue this month on Tuesday (April 21) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵPublic Library. You do not have to register for this drop in program and it is free of charge. Theannual Spring Concert presented by the Sea to Sky Singers is next weekend when Singing in the Rain will be performed. An evening cabaret is planned for the Brackendale Art Gallery on Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. and a family matinee will be held at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵUnited Church on Fourth Avenue on Sunday (April 26 at 3 p.m. The choir is directed by Veronica McPhee, the accompanist is Colleen Koop and adding to the performances will be the local band 3rd Octave Down. Tickets are now on sale at Billie's Bouquet, Highland Video and at the door on performance days at $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

The monthly meeting of the Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵGardeners will be held at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park on Monday (April 20). There will be a plant exchange at 6:30 p.m. and at 7 p.m. there will be a presentation by Jeff Larcombe on Hanging Baskets. Non-members are welcome to attend for a fee of $5.
