Photos: Vancouver rental is essentially an enclosed porch

The ad also boasts "lots of nature" in the "backyard" in downtown Vancouver.

For someone looking for cheap rent in middle of downtown Vancouver, there's an unusual option.

Someone has put a . The room itself is somewhere between a back porch and a balcony, as it sits a couple of floors above street level, but has a view of a patio area.

The room is also quite small, sitting between two sets of glass doors (a third door to the room makes up another wall) with enough room for a twin-sized bed and not much more. The $1,000 per month rent includes access to the rest of the apartment, which and laundry in the unit.

While the private space is limited, the ad pushes the convenience of the room's location, as it's located at the intersection of Granville Street and Dunsmuir Street, with shopping, restaurants, and transit all at street level.

The ad also boasts "lots of nature" in the "backyard" though the photos show a relatively enclosed area with concrete slabs and some shrubbery.
